What it actually feels like
to live here.

Linear ducted grille in a warm living space

Walk in on a 40° day to a house that's already calm.

Every room — bedrooms, living, study, the lot — sitting at the temperature you chose. No portable units. No fans pushing hot air. Just quiet, even comfort the moment you open the door.

Discreet linear grille above a doorway

Comfort you can't see.

No bulky boxes on the wall. Just a slim line in the ceiling. Your home looks exactly how you designed it.

Architectural ceiling diffuser

Sleep through it.

The hard-working gear lives in the roof and outside. Inside, comfort you can barely hear.

Sound familiar?

You don't need a brochure to tell you your home isn't comfortable. You feel it every day.

  • 31°

The master bedroom bakes while the rest of the house is fine.

  • 17°

A split that "does the lounge" but leaves the bedrooms and hallway to the weather.

  • 15°

Winter mornings where the living area never warms and everyone huddles near one heater.

  • 29°

Evaporative that gives up the moment Perth turns humid — exactly when you need it.

  • 33°

Wall units everywhere, ruining the look of a home you spent good money on.

  • $$

Power bills creeping up as old systems work twice as hard for half the result.

If you're nodding along — that's exactly what ducted was built to fix. See how →

One system. Every zone.
Tap a room to feel it.

This is what "zoning" really means. Switch rooms on and off, watch the air move, and see your live power draw change. Cool the bedrooms at night, the living areas by day — never pay to condition an empty room.

Why it matters: the biggest myth about ducted is that it costs a fortune to run. It only does that when it's oversized and never zoned. Conditioned correctly, you're paying for the rooms you're in — and nothing else.

Why Ducted — ACS Electrical
04

Ducted vs. the patch-up.

A few years ago ducted was a luxury. Today it’s the first thing Perth families ask for — and the comparison makes it obvious why.

Why ACS Electrical
05

We're electricians
first. That's the
difference.

A ducted system is only as good as the install behind it. Get the sizing, zoning or wiring wrong and you're stuck with weak airflow, hot rooms and bills that never make sense. Being a licensed Perth electrical contractor changes that.

Dane and I have worked together on a few projects, and he is by far the best electrician I’ve come across. He is highly knowledgeable, takes the time to guide you in the right direction, and never rushes his work. His attention to detail and strict adherence to safety procedures really set him apart. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable and skilled electrician.

FAQ Section

Ducted air conditioning FAQs.

Is ducted air conditioning worth it?

For whole-home comfort, yes. Every room at a consistent temperature, no bulky wall units, one system that heats and cools and adds value — with zoning it's surprisingly economical. For just one or two rooms a split may suit better, and we'll tell you honestly if that's the case.

How much does ducted cost in Perth?

As a guide, most whole-home installs sit between around $8,000 and $15,000, with larger homes, more zones or premium brands going higher. The real figure depends on size, layout, zones and ceiling access — which is why we give a free in-home assessment and a fixed written quote.

Can I replace my existing ducted system?

Absolutely — replacements are one of our most common jobs. We can often reuse existing ducting and vents, keeping cost and disruption down. We'll inspect what you've got and tell you what can stay and what needs upgrading.

How long does installation take?

Most homes are completed in 1 to 3 days, depending on size, number of zones, and whether it's a new install or a replacement. We give you a clear timeframe with your quote.

Is ducted cheaper to run than multiple splits?

It can be. A single, correctly sized and zoned ducted system often uses less total energy than several older splits plus portables — you condition only the rooms you're using with one efficient inverter unit. Poor design is what makes ducted expensive, which is why we focus on sizing and zoning.

Can different rooms have different temperatures?

Yes — that's the whole point of zoning. Set the bedrooms cooler at night, keep the living areas comfortable by day, and switch off rooms you're not using. No more thermostat wars.

What size system do I need?

It depends on floor area, ceiling height, window sizes, sun exposure and how rooms are used. There's no reliable rule of thumb — undersized struggles, oversized wastes power. We calculate the correct capacity during your free in-home assessment.

Does ducted add value to my home?

It's a feature Perth buyers actively look for, especially in family homes. Quiet, whole-home reverse-cycle comfort makes a property more attractive and can support a stronger sale price — you enjoy it now and benefit later.
